Electroanalgesia

Electroanalgesia by Neuromed is a Pain Management treatment that is non-invasive and drug-free. Electroanalgesia treatment delivers precisely controlled electrical energy to your nerves to block pain signals from reaching the brain. It essentially acts as a natural Nerve Blocker providing the patient immediate relief. Electroanalgesia also increases blood flow to the nerves and the nearby tissues, thus encouraging your body’s natural healing processes. It is a safe and effective way to treat pain without major side effects or recovery time. Patients who undergo electroanalgesia treatment see a dramatic improvement in performing their activities of daily living with minimal pain.
The procedure is highly recommended for those who want to stop being dependent on various medications to manage their discomfort related to chronic pain.
If you are suffering from pain associated with the spine, arms, legs, knees, or any musculoskeletal condition, schedule an appointment with Dr. Canseco to help you find lasting relief.

Laser Type IV

Laser IV Therapy has been successfully used to treat a broad range of medical conditions, including joint pain, neck pain, low back pain, arthritis, sports injuries, post-surgical wounds, fibromyalgia, plantar fascitis, and more.
Laser IV therapy is FDA approved for the treatment of chronic pain. A laser composed of a special kind of light is directed at the affected area. The cells in the tendons, ligaments, and muscles are stimulated by this light, allowing them to heal themselves faster than they normally would. This is an effective approach for relieving pain and reversing the damage.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a type of treatment that focuses on restoring, maintaining, and making the most of a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. It promotes physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, overall health and fitness.

Among the modalities used in physiotherapy are electrical (TENS, EMS, IFC, etc), and thermal treatment (ultrasound, infrared heat, laser, etc) methods. These methods are instrumental in relieving pain, decreasing swelling, improving circulation, and reducing muscle spasms. Besides all these, physiotherapy focuses more heavily on manual, hands-on therapy such as soft tissue and fascial releases, stretches, massages, etc.

Besides being a Chiropractor, Dr. Canseco is a licensed Physiotherapy practitioner in Pennsylvania. He combines chiropractic care and physiotherapy to create a more effective and comprehensive strategy for holistic wellness.

Chiropractic adjustments

Chiropractic adjustment involves applying controlled force to spinal joints to enhance motion and physical function, aiming to restore long-term health rather than providing short-term symptom relief. Benefits include improved posture, reduced pain, increased joint mobility, alleviation of chronic conditions like osteoarthritis, treatment of minor injuries such as whiplash, and relief from migraines and neck-related headaches.

Cupping

Cupping is a traditional therapeutic practice that involves creating suction on the skin’s surface using cups. It is often used in alternative and complementary medicine to address various health concerns. Cupping is often used to alleviate muscle tension, back pain, and neck pain.

The suction effect helps relax muscles and promotes pain relief. Cupping therapy improved blood circulation. The increased blood flow to the treated area can potentially promote healing, reduce inflammation, and assist in the removal of metabolic waste products from tissues. Many individuals find cupping therapy to be relaxing and soothing. It may help reduce stress and anxiety by promoting a sense of calm and well-being.

Athletes and individuals recovering from injuries or surgeries may use cupping as part of their rehabilitation process. It can aid in muscle recovery and flexibility. Cupping helps remove toxins and stagnant energy from the body, contributing to improved overall health. It may help strengthen the immune system by stimulating the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

Leg compression

Compression therapy, particularly through Compression Boots, enhances blood circulation in the lower extremities, aiding in conditions like chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins. At our facility, we primarily use Compression Boots for treating mild Peripheral Neuropathy, alleviating muscle soreness post-workout by improving circulation and flushing out toxins, and aiding in lymphatic drainage by applying pressure to the legs. This therapy effectively reduces swelling and enhances overall lymphatic function.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy for muscle immobility, scar tissue, adhesions, and pain. It involves direct pressure on trigger points or Active Release Technique, often used by athletes. These non-invasive techniques have minimal risk.

Dr. Canseco combines myofascial release with chiropractic adjustments, believing that addressing muscle tension enhances the effectiveness of adjustments.

Services

Auto Accidents

Chiropractic treatment is often recommended after a car accident because it may help bring the spine back into proper alignment after whiplash or other accident-related injuries. If you have recently been involved in a car accident and experience discomfort because of your injuries, receiving care from a chiropractor could be one of the best things you could do.

Work Accident

If you’ve been in an accident at work resulting in injury, consider seeing a Chiropractic Physician. They can diagnose underlying issues (such as Sciatica Pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Frozen Shoulder) through an examination. More importantly, we provide hands-on individualized non-surgical treatments.

CDL/DOT Physicals

A CDL/DOT Physical is a medical examination that is required for commercial drivers to obtain and maintain their commercial driving license (CDL). Dr. Canseco is a Certified Medical Examiner, who evaluates the driver’s physical health and ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle.

The Driver must meet the DOT physical requirements and receive a medical examiner’s certificate or DOT Medical card, which is valid for up to 2 years.

Sport Injuries

Chiropractic care can help address and speed up the healing process for many typical sports injuries such as: sprains strains, concussions, knee injuries, and back/neck injuries. Chiropractors utilize non-invasive techniques to address sports injuries such as spinal adjustments, joint mobilization, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitative exercises.

Slip and fall

Chiropractic care is beneficial when recovering from a slip or fall accident, because Chiropractors treat the whole body, not just one area or injury. Often time after a slip or fall there are multiple areas that are in pain or misalignment.

School/Sports Physicals

Dr. Canseco offers comprehensive school and sports physicals. He will check your child’s health history and vitals, look specifically at the alignment of their spine, the function of their nervous system, overall posture flexibility and body mechanics. We also evaluate hearing, vision, range of motion and relative strength.
